Isn't it time to hear an Afghan voice about the war?

Malalai Joya, an Afghan defender of women's rights, dared to criticize America's war in Afghanistan and the corrupt American-backed government. She faced multiple assassination attempts and was even barred from her Parliament seat. She has received the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought from the European Parliament, and will be speaking at Brown this Sunday. Copies of her new book, "A Woman among Warlords", will be available.

Where: Salomon Hall 101, on the Main Green at Brown University.

When: Sunday October 25, 4pm.
Sponsored by Anti-War Action at Brown and the RI Mobilization Committee.

As the Afghanistan war attracts a great deal of debate, we have a rare opportunity to hear from a renowned Afghan who lives in Afghanistan and can provide a first-hand perspective.

Please come, and forward this message to others!
